Bringing Back the Mix Tape

Muxtape is essentially a free music upload service. Users create an account, upload up to 12 of their favorite mp3’s and get a fancy sub-domain URL to share their “mix tape” with friends.

Anyone can visit your Muxtape page and stream your songs for free.

    The RIAA killed muxtape……. the result?

    The open-sourced it!

    Opentape was just released, it’s a free, open-source version of muxtape that you can host yourself.
    Not resource heavy either! - runs on php5, i had it running on a 256MB vps and it didn’t even hiccup!
